Her father, Dr. Amrit Achari, who created the first neurophysiology laboratory at St. Luke’s Hospital in the early 1970s and a noted neuromuscular specialist, supervised her additional training in electrodiagnostic studies (EMG/NCV). As the Consulting Neurologist at TIRR for a decade, she developed expertise in the diagnosis and management of severe and mild traumatic brain injury. She was also the neurologist for the liver transplantation services at Hermann and St. Luke’s Hospitals.

She began her private practice in 1997. She practices general neurology and is skilled in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of neurological disorders.
