I am the owner and director at Tempo School of Music, and I really love teaching guitar. I have been playing and teaching guitar in the Houston area for over 25 years. I teach guitar to beginners, intermediate and advanced players. I teach most styles of music including Classic rock, Metal, Blues, Country, Classical, Fingerstyle, Bluegrass, R&B, Pop, and Jazz. My goal as a teacher is to get my students playing and enjoying music as soon as possible! I have many students that have gone on to be professional musicians. I’ve been playing guitar since I was a kid. I was a music major in college, then played professionally for years in bands and toured with a rock musical for years as an actor, singer, and guitar player in New York and Europe. I love teaching guitar!

If we aren't having fun on the guitar, we probably aren't growing. If we aren't growing in our guitar playing, we probably aren't having fun. We want both. The idea is for me to find out where you are in your playing and where you want to be, and give you what you need to get you there and have fun doing it.

I've been writing songs all my life and just recently I've started to play them out in public.
